Hi Webmasters,

I don't know if it is related with bug 321857 but I also have permission problems:

In my build I try to promote my build artifacts to the eclipse download site. I have created all relevant directories.

https://hudson.eclipse.org/hudson/job/cbi-nebula.oscilloscope-1.0-nightly/67/console

promote-nightly:
[copy] Copying 1 file to /home/..oad.eclipse.org/technology/nebula/oscilloscope/downloads/drops/latest

BUILD FAILED
/opt/public..bation-N-Snapshot.zip to
/home/data/..incubation.zip due to java.io.FileNotFoundException /home/data/..incubation.zip (Permission denied)

Both the FileNotfoundException and Permission denied seem strange because files exist and the permissions are exactly as other directories other than the owner.

Hi folks, any news on this?

For everyone's sanity, the Hudson user cannot write to any download directory. Setting world-writable download directories is equally a bad idea.

You'll need to promote your build(s) using your user ID. I'm not sure how other projects go about doing this, but feel free to ask on dash-dev or cross-project for ideas.
