In the MoDisco build, I get errors from p2 like:
org.eclipse.equinox.p2.core.ProvisionException: Artifact not found: http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/emf/updates/milestones/features/org.eclipse.emf.validation.sdk_1.2.1.v200807161729-579093L7YxTRK7HtUz0Hhaz-JlG9.jar.

This is exactly the problem that is described in:
http://wiki.eclipse.org/Modeling_Project_Releng/Releasing/Update_Site_Generation/Troubleshooting#Some_p2_repo_points_to_missing_jars.21

Could you try refreshing the p2 metadata of the modeling update site?

I'm resolving all old releng bugs because the build has been replaced with a Tycho build:

And the update site has been superseded by:

http://download.eclipse.org/modeling/emf/emf/builds/

If there are outstanding issues, please report a new bug based on the new build infrastructure and the new update site.
