We have content assist in XHTML editor for beans are defined in faces-config.xml, i.e. faces-config.xml: <managed-bean> <managed-bean-name>dukesBirthdayBean</managed-bean-name> <managed-bean-class>name.samolisov.firstcup.web.bean.DukesBirthdayManagedBean</managed-bean-class> <managed-bean-scope>request</managed-bean-scope> </managed-bean> in index.xhtml: <h:outputText value="#{dukesBirthday| press ctrl+space and get variant dukesBirthdayBean But if bean is defined by annotation: @ManagedBean(name="controller") @SessionScoped public class SimpleController { ... content assist in xhtml editor does not work: I write <... value="#{control| press ctrl+space but I does not get any variants.
