Dave, as part of our quest for maximum availability/stability, we don't run beta software in a production environment. Please see http://wiki.eclipse.org/IT_SLA#SLA_strategies Renaming the bug to install Maven 3 once it's released. Actually, we are now, we are running Maven 3 Beta 1 on Hudson, and it's been stable. Who is 'we' ? (In reply to comment #3) > Who is 'we' ? Anybody doing eclipse builds with the Maven 3/Tycho builds. Includes most of the WTP Incubator, EGit, and others. I'm fine with holding off on the upgrade. Maven 3 should be officially released within the next month. Alright, Maven 3 is now out. Can we get it as a configuration option for the builds. I would recommend over a period of time removing the alpha and beta installations and making sure it's communicated to the cross-project-dev list as well. http://www.sonatype.com/people/2010/10/maven-3-0-has-landed/ Any ETA on this? *** Bug 328529 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I've installed Maven 3.0 in the shared directory and added it as an option to Hudson. Does this mean we can 'remove' all of the Maven 3 beta/alpha builds from Hudson? -M. imo yes, but perhaps dave should say definitively (In reply to comment #9) > imo yes, but perhaps dave should say definitively I would say yes, after announcing it to cross-project-dev list. Everybody should move the the offical release version. I think we're good here. Actually, we have an open bug for Maven 3.2/3.3. |
