When there is @Transient field and the field is annotated with non-JPA annotation(like @Resource, @Autowired, etc), Canonical Model generator throws the following exception.

java.lang.RuntimeException: Exception [EclipseLink-7153] (Eclipse Persistence Services - 2.1.0.v20100614-r7608): org.eclipse.persistence.exceptions.ValidationException
Exception Description: Mapping annotations cannot be applied to fields or properties that have a @Transient specified. [field tran] is in violation of this restriction.

But @Resource, @Autowired, etc are not "Mapping annotation".

This has been corrected with the fix for bug 330395. That fix has been submitted to the 2.2 stream and will be checked into the 2.1.3 stream once it is opened.
