Description Andrew Niefer CLA 2010-08-24 16:15:03 EDT
Given a target platform that contains multiple instances of the same version of a bundle (one from a directory, another from a p2 site).

If you make a change to any enabled plugins in the target, then all duplicates will automatically get changed so that only one of the duplicates is selected. Then, in the target platform state, neither of the duplicate bundles will be installed.

Yes, I can reproduce. Steps:

* New empty workspace
* Added a 3.6 install to a target
* Added 3.6 from a p2 repo
* Set as active target platform
* No dups in the list, looks OK
* disable a bundle like org.eclipse.core.variables (target platform is updated)
* Target platform is now completely empty

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
