Usually I use the time Eclipse takes to initialize to do other stuff in a different virtual desktop, but when I get back to it, I have to wait still some more time since building of the open projects hadn't started yet; I guess that's connected to a GUI paint() event or something on that line.

I'm currently using Eclipse 3.4.2 on FreeBSD 8.1.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. launch eclipse on virtual desktop #2
2. while Eclipse is still showing the splash screen and loading switch to virtual desktop #1 to do something else
3. work on something else for quite a bit of time
4. get back to desktop #2
5. Eclipse will begin building the open Java project in that very instant, no matter how much time it had to do it

Perhaps this is an issue with the virtual desktop processing (i.e. perhaps it locks/blocks file accesses from other desktops). Are there other scenarios you use that would indicate that this isn't the case ?

Need further information to move this bug. For now I am closing this bug as NOT_ECLIPSE, but feel free to reopen it if you further information indicative of the described behaviour.
