Is there any possibility/workaround to allow ':' in resource names in Eclipse on Windows? (or any of the disallowed characters \ / : * ? < > | )

(We do have implemented our own file system, but this error comes from org.eclipse.core.resources: "'some:file.txt' is an invalid resource name.". Simply hiding these files with a resource filter is not an option.)

Reproducible: Always
