Description
Oded Arbel
Automatic generation of commit messages is supported when the Subversive Mylyn integration is installed. Please see http://wiki.eclipse.org/index.php/Mylyn_User_Guide#Automatic_Commit_Messages for more details. I have the Mylyn Subversion integration plugin installed, and it does populate the commit message (as I've noted in point 1 above), but it does not populate the ticket ID into the "Issue ID" field of the commit dialog - which means that when you do a commit you have to manually copy and paste the issue numbers from the commit comment editor to the issue id field. It looks like something trivial to fix so its a bit annoying to do it manually again and again. Also, point 2 above would really help people that do not use the "Activate Task" feature of Mylyn (like most of developers in my company). Thanks for clarifying. I was not aware of the Issue ID field in the commit dialog. I will move this to Subversive since the commit dialog is not part of Mylyn. This issue has been migrated to https://gitlab.eclipse.org/eclipse/subversive/subversive/-/issues/69. |
