I'm getting an NPE when trying to rename a method in the Java editor

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.  Open Java Editor
2.  Select a java method
3.  Press cmd+shift+R 
-> error dialog appears, rename does not complete normally


I should also mention that it started happening around the time I installed the new version of Scala IDE, but it seems unrelated to me.
