Jetty Generic Server Adaptor 1.0.4 has a dependency on JST Server UI of which Eclipse is unaware.

Normally Eclipse resolves dependencies and installs these for you but when you try to install the Jetty Generic Server Adaptor without the JST Server UI the installation fails and Eclipse gives the following error message....

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.

Software currently installed: Jetty Generic Server Adaptor 1.0.4 (org.mortbay.jetty.serveradaptor.feature.group 1.0.4)
Missing requirement: Jetty Server Adaptor Plug-in 1.0.4 (org.mortbay.jetty.serveradaptor 1.0.4) requires 'bundle org.eclipse.jst.server.generic.core 0.0.0' but it could not be found
Cannot satisfy dependency:
From: Jetty Generic Server Adaptor 1.0.4 (org.mortbay.jetty.serveradaptor.feature.group 1.0.4)
To: org.mortbay.jetty.serveradaptor [1.0.4]

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Make sure you do not have the JST Server UI Eclipse component installed.
2. In the Eclipse Install New Software screen go to http://www.webtide.com/eclipse/ update site and install the Jetty Generic Server Adaptor.

Alternatively the installation can be initiated from the Servers view by right-clicking to bring up the New Server screen and then clicking on the link to "download additional server adapters".

Either procedure causes the same error message.

Hugues, could you look into this, please?

Actually Michael, if I am not mistaken, this is for the WTP plugin: Angelo and Jesse.

Closing as we haven't really supported that plugin for ages.

We have the newish WTP plugin @ eclipse which occasionally gets a bit of love and should at least work with later versions of jetty.
