When I goto: Window -> Preferences -> Plug-in Development -> Target Platform

and press the reload button I get the errors:

I have tried downloading a fresh version of the eclipse for  rcp deveopment from:

http://www.eclipse.org/downloads/packages/eclipse-rcp-and-rap-developers/heliosr

and using a new workspace but I get the same error.

1. Window -> Preferences -> Plug-in Development -> Target Platform
2. press the reload button

Moving to UI.

I don't think the ch.qos plug-ins that you are having problems with are part of the RCP distribution.  Where did those plug-ins come from? Do you have other things installed in your Eclipse client?

This bug is a dupe, we don't know where the extra plug-ins are coming from.  There is something wrong with those plug-ins (missing manifest? malformed manifest?).
