Description Benjamin Schwertfeger CLA 2010-08-03 05:54:01 EDT
If the automatic build for workspace is disabled, the references are not always updated. If you edit one file and change the name of one Element, the reference in another open editor to this element will be marked invalid. As soon as you save the editor, the other editor works with globalDescriptions in DirtyStateAwareResourceDescriptions again, which contains the old not modified resource.

I think, the global descriptions should be updated if the file is saved.
Comment 1 Sebastian Zarnekow CLA 2010-08-25 13:43:00 EDT
The global descriptions are updated by the builder. If it's disabled, nothing will be updated. I'ld like to close this one as won't fix because it works as expected. Objections?
Comment 2 Sven Efftinge CLA 2010-08-25 15:34:46 EDT
Agreed. nothing but the builder should change the global index.
Comment 3 Karsten Thoms CLA 2017-09-19 16:32:44 EDT
Closing bug which were set to RESOLVED before Eclipse Neon.0.
