A couple of changes to DSF-GDB were made for CDT 8.0 expecting the version to be of org.eclipse.cdt.dsf.gdb to 3.1.  Now that bug 317325 has made the version 4.0, we can cleanup some of those changes.

First cleanup was done in the last commit of Bug 318230.

The other part I'd like to clean up is two instances of @Deprecated

To late to do more changes to API for Indigo.
