If you select New Task on a query the repository and other details that correspond to the query will be pre-selected. If you want to skip the wizard you can use the drop-down besides the New Task button in the toolbar of the Task List. I can see however that it would be useful to have one click task creation from a query that does not require any further selection or interaction with dialogs. I'll put this on the backlog and we'll consider it for future planning. *** Bug 322351 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** As I can see, the functionality is already implemented in the drop down. And it just needs to be invoked from the context menu. The Uber-solution would be to have a "New Task" solution in the context menu of the query to save one click. Mylyn has been restructured, and our issue tracking has moved to GitHub [1]. We are closing ~14K Bugzilla issues to give the new team a fresh start. If you feel that this issue is still relevant, please create a new one on GitHub. [1] https://github.com/orgs/eclipse-mylyn |
