I want to install EGit I do this
open the Eclipse SDK Version: 3.6.0
Help-->Install New Software-->work with: http://download.eclipse.org/egit/updates

I saw EGit and I want to install it but it show the message:

Cannot complete the install because one or more required items could not be found.
  Software currently installed: Eclipse SDK 3.6.0.I20100603-1500 (org.eclipse.sdk.ide 3.6.0.I20100603-1500)
  Missing requirement: Eclipse SDK 3.6.0.I20100603-1500 (org.eclipse.sdk.ide 3.6.0.I20100603-1500) requires 'org.eclipse.rcp.configuration.feature.group [1.0.0.I20100603-1500]' but it could not be found


What can I do for solving this problem?

This problem seems not to be related to EGit. Could you please try to update your eclipse alone? Does that work?

looks like a problem with this eclipse installation not related to egit and we got no reaction since July hence closing the message
