After opening selecting a few lines in a text editor and opening Find/Replace, a change to the window with focus (e.g. to another window) removes the selection.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1.Select several lines of text in a text editor, e.g. the java editor
2. Open Find/Replace by pressing Ctrl+F
3. Either
  a) Click on the window title of the eclipse main window
  b) Select another window in the task bar and switch back to eclipse
4. Observe how the text selection is gone

If you select several lines with Find/Replace already open, the problem does not occur (However, if you press Ctrl+F again with the window open, it will occur). Also, if you only select text in one line, the problem does not occur.

Forget this bug report, I did not realize the difference between text selection and search scope. I will open a new report which describes the problem correctly
