Description David Williams CLA 2010-07-26 22:03:42 EDT
+++ This bug was initially created as a clone of Bug #290061 +++

Cloning to track request/application to patch stream.

The original bug has a patch attached for "wtp 3.0.5 patch stream" (which would be Dali 2.0.5 patch stream).

If Dali team agrees, we'd appreciate the patch in original bug (comment 4) being applied, attachment URL:
https://bugs.eclipse.org/bugs/attachment.cgi?id=167436

If following steps can be done by Dali committers, "we" (releng) can handle the rest.

create R2_0_5_patches branch of org.eclipse.jpt.ui
apply patch,
increment service field in manifest.mf (to 2.0.103.qualifier)
commit it to that branch,
tag it (typical form, such as v201007271000), and
report tag here,

Notes: we've apparently patched org.eclipse.jpt.db before in this stream, so the jpt.feature.patch already exists, in releng project, so we can add to that, and we can commit tag to map files. (Not, right now, the dali.map file is branched to R3_0_5_patches, which might be confusing in future ... but to track that problem, I have bug 289602).

I'm using target 2.0 P, which is fine by me ... not sure if you want to track more finely, or not.

Thanks.

Oh, and I should have said,

create R2_0_5_patches branch of org.eclipse.jpt.ui from the existing R2_0_maintenance branch ... if I'm seeing things right.
Comment 3 Neil Hauge CLA 2010-07-27 16:10:29 EDT
Patch committed to R2_0_5_patches and tagged as: v201007271608
Comment 4 David Williams CLA 2010-07-29 02:45:27 EDT
I've committed and release the tag, and the patch feature.

Carl, you can include this in your next patch build
(carefully checking my work :)
