Description Thom Hehl CLA 2010-07-26 10:37:36 EDT
Build Identifier: Helios

The automatic delete function that is new to helios is deleting all files it thinks does not belong in its workspace. There are license files and other files we use for our project that are being deleted. Deleting these files is a problem.

Either this feature should be turned off, or allowed to be turned off in the configuration or allowed to be configured to lock out certain files/directories.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Put a file someplace in the workspace
2. Start helios
3. File goes away.

Can you give more precise steps? Are you putting the files in the workspace? Or within one of the project's folders?

Which Helios build are you using? What file did you download, and what is its name?

Thom,

  Can you answer the questions?

If you put files in the workspace root directory, Helios wipes them from existence. I lost a viPlugin.licence file some few batch files used for automatic builds and backups.

I tried copying some files to the workspace and started Helios. Nothing got deleted. It might be some third party plugin that might cause this.

Can you try to reproduce it on fresh installation of Helios without any extra pluings?
