hi,

package presentation in my package explorer is always in flat mode and i always have "compute deep outgoing state" on.

the thing that is irritating in the flat mode is, that package A is marked as mod'ed (modified) when just one of the sub packages of A, e.g. A.B.C contains the modification.
only when expanding A u can see that nothing has changed here but only in one of the sub packages.

PS:
while this is smth. that is a common thing for Platform/Team support i'm not sure if they
a) want to handle it there as it pertains only to the package view which is JDT or
b) can handle it for any team implementation (like subversive) or needs to be done by the team implementers.
i suspect the latter and hence i posted it here. but i suggest to discuss this with this Team/JDT teams to have a more common approach that other team implementers can hook into and move this issue.
