Description

There will be inevitable some minor render-glichtches in IE with transparent PNGs and rounded borders when fading a shell. We should also support animated resize. (Not when the user resizes the shell with the mouse, but when its dimension change programatically by pressing something like a "show details" or "advanced options" button.) Animated fly-in/out could also be useful e.g. for fullscreen shells on smartphones. FadeIn/out for shells is implemented (its a side-effect of implementing flyIn/out), but no tested or documented yet. I would prefere fly-in/out anyway, so i would have no problems to not officially support it (or to block it) if it has issues (which is likely will in IE7/8). Semi-transparent shells have a million issues in IE. See Bug 302713 - [Theming] glitch in IE using rounded borders + semi-transparency Bug 303603 - setting opacity on a shell breaks PNGs in IE (already closed as WONTFIX) I would recommand to close this and 302713 as WONTFIX, as its not worth the effort. The fading support for shell could stay as an undocumented/unsupported feature. Since no one disagreed with my previous comment, i will close this as wontfix for now. |
