It would be useful to be able to scroll horizontally using Shift+Mouse Scroll Wheel.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. In Eclipse text editor (I've tried C/C++ editor, PyDev)
2. Hold down shift
3. Turn the mouse scroll wheel
4. Observe that no horizontal scroll happens

(Note that Ctrl+Scroll wheel does accelerated vertical scroll)

You can use a mouse with scroll wheel that can be tilted from left to right.
Suggest to close as WONTFIX.
Comment 2 Felipe Heidrich CLA 2010-07-20 09:17:40 EDT
I agree.
Shift + Wheel for horizontal scrolling is not a default behaviour of the platform. Closing as wont fix.
