Component: UIAssignee: Project Inbox <e4.ui-inbox>
Status: RESOLVED WORKSFORME QA Contact:
Severity: normal
Priority: P3 CC: remy.suen, susan

Target Milestone: ---
Hardware: PC

Whiteboard: stalebug

Description Stefan Mücke CLA 2010-07-14 14:25:07 EDT
1. Open a clean e4 workbench
2. Open an untitled text file
3. Move the text file to the bottom stack

Result: The tab header of the editor still has active/focused styling.

The inverse of bug 319961 needs to happen, we shouldn't be letting people move editors outside the editor area.

Admittedly, in terms of the model, this is a valid operation, to move part contained within a container represented by placeholder(s) out into a real container.
Comment 2 Eric Moffatt CLA 2010-09-21 14:02:34 EDT
This is related to the fact that it's a part that is active but its *stack* that needs to be styled (here we haven't really changed the active part but it's now in a different stack).

Perhaps one fix (hack?) is to simply have the DnD operation set the active part to null and then back to the dragged part once it's been placed in its new stack.

This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
