Description DJ Houghton CLA 2010-07-14 12:02:10 EDT
Bug 241254 talks about getting code coverage tools to run as part of the test suites.

This should be fine for most of the p2 tests but some of the reconciler tests are run differently in that they aren't run in-session... we extract a new zip and run externally and then examine the file contents after the operations complete.

As a result this means the reconciler code probably won't be included in the code coverage by default. We need to investigate how to include this.

Olivier stopped by and chatted about code coverage. It looks like this might be relatively straight forward.
- add a command line argument
- ensure the code coverage JARs are on the classpath
- pass along a location for it to place the data

The code that calls out is in AbstractReconcilerTest#reconcile.

Comment 3 Eclipse Genie CLA 2019-04-04 09:00:25 EDT
This bug hasn't had any activity in quite some time. Maybe the problem got resolved, was a duplicate of something else, or became less pressing for some reason - or maybe it's still relevant but just hasn't been looked at yet.

If you have further information on the current state of the bug, please add it. The information can be, for example, that the problem still occurs, that you still want the feature, that more information is needed, or that the bug is (for whatever reason) no longer relevant.
