Marking as won't fix for now. Ant does not need to move up just because JDT is. I am going to reopen this, who knows, maybe some day it will happen... Talk on the mailing list is that once Ant moves to 1.8.3+ they will drop support for < 1.5 VMs. See the chat /vote here: http://mail-archives.apache.org/mod_mbox/ant-dev/201201.mbox/browser It might also be good to look at upping the BREE for the orbit version of Ant This will help: http://wiki.eclipse.org/Generify_A_Java_Project Fixed in: http://git.eclipse.org/c/platform/eclipse.platform.git/commit/?id=7a87f12c35914ed6ae8e3cdd77abaea1c9787bf2 All the JUnit tests pass, we are also doing a complete test pass since there were so many files that were touched: http://wiki.eclipse.org/Ant/Testing/1.6BREE Marking fixed, we can open any issues we find during testing in their own bugs. No problems found during my test pass using I20130709-0800 |
