If I'm not mistaken, this bug is in the Infosphere Data Architect product - not Eclipse. Please raise a bug with them. From IDA developer,we know that this has always been a limitation of Eclipse since its inception,so report it here. From IDA developer,we know that this has always been a limitation of Eclipse since its inception,so report it here. This problem appears to have nothing to do with modeling... I tried to reproduce it by selecting a file in Eclipse's package explorer or navigator. I ensured that the properties view was showing information about that selection, and then when I renamed the selected resource, the selection went away which resulted in the properties view being blank. As such, I can't reproduce the problem that's described in just Eclipse itself. Please report the problem to the folks who provide IDA and if they claim the problem is the result of some more fundamental limitation of Eclipse, they or you need to report a bug that's reproducible without requiring IDA to be installed. In the case of stand alone of Eclipse,if you do a rename of a object and then losses the focus of that object. You should select it again and hence the properties view refreshed. It's not limited to IDA,the same problem as ODA and ODS. When I do that for the scenario I described and the properties view shows the new full path. Please try out yourself whatever steps are needed to reproduce a problem and please do so on a fresh install of Eclipse so that your problem is really purely an Eclipse problem rather than a problem with something contributed by someone else to Eclipse. |
