A user can install patches in two ways: using the Synchronize view, or using the Apply Patch dialog. Previously the Synchronize view was missing some functionality that way only available using the dialog. Now, both the dialog and the view have equal capabilities. > When set, applying a patch via the <b>Team</b> context menu or by pasting in > <b>Package Explorer</b> uses the <b>Synchronize</b> view. When this option is selected, the command "Team > Apply Patch" will now use the synchronize view instead of the patch dialog. > <b>Warning about possible inaccuracy in comparison result</b> This is explained in the following paragraph. With a very large file we use a technique that is not 100% accurate to perform the comparison. We now let the user know that we are using this technique to help them better understand the comparison result. This wasn't a real bug. |
