When selecting different objects in a BPEL diagram, the properties view corresponding to the selected object does not appear in the front of the views list, by default. In addition to that it is required to open the properties view manually if it is not already opened. Even if the properties view is already opened but is not visible, still the properties view does not appear in the front appropriately when selecting objects.
