The application is running remotely on an arm based linux box, i have eclipse set up with the arm-linux toolchain. GDB server is running the application on the target (arm) device. I have it set up to connect to the target devices address. i however get "launching: configuring GDB"  which is stuck around 86/7 mark.

If i launch DDD with the arm-linux-gdb  it works however.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. go to debug configuration and set target address and toolchain
2. hit debug, application launch status gets to around 86% freezes.
3. run DDD --debugger arm-linux-gdb example and it works perfectly.

Reassigning to CDT, could you give more details on your setup.  Are you using a Eclipse 3.5.2 or an milestone build of 3.6?  Also, if you can please look at the GDB/MI traces in the console view.

I have a similar Problem. I have checked my cross toolchain from the console and remote debugging ppc_6xx-gdb (host) <> gdbserver (target) works fine.


Under eclipse it hangs around.
'Starting Program: Configuring GDB hangs' and the Progress is not stoppable. The gdbserver on Target starts properly. But the local calling of gdb is in my opinion not working.

I think this is really buggy
