Description Howard Moskovitz CLA 2010-06-24 19:18:37 EDT
Build Identifier: M20100211-1343

When you hover over an item in the Java editor the opo-up window has a black background with white text but any item that is a clickable link, e.g. a system method, is displayed in blue which is extremely difficult to read against a black background. Similarly, if you hover over an item that has an error the pop-up contains some code-assist suggestion that are also in blue. I have not found a method to configure these colors in the UI. See attached screenshot.png for example screen,

Reproducible: Always

Scrrenshot of javadoc window

Since the hover pop-up is dismissed when I hit a prt-scrn to capture the screenshot I hovered over a procedure that popped up a javadoc referenece. You can see the linked items are in blue.

From a usability standpoint, the pop-up colors should be configurable so that people with various vision issues can adjust it for their needs, e.g. someone who is color blind or has contrast issues (as I do).

Did you check Ubuntu's settings for tooltip foreground/background colours?
