Hello,

We found a problem in the export to excel from an html report. Numbers were detected as strings. Because of this we must select all columns/rows in the excel files and change the format to number.
The ExcelUtil class has a method called "getType" which only use instanceOf to detect numbers. An additional check of NaN works better. Because of this the method "addDataContent" in class ExcelEmitter does not work correctly. 

This problem was found in the latest org.eclipse.birt.report.engine.emitter.prototype.excel.source_2.5.2.v20100201.jar library.

When will a bug fix be available?

Steps to Reproduce:
1. generate a html report
2. export to excel
3. not all cells are a type of number

Would you please attache a example report using the sample db?
I can not reproduce this issue in current release.
