Description
Sebastian Bauer
What specific property page you talking about? They have different layout. Created attachment 172271 [details]
Example layout with scroller
It affects nearly all pages of CDT. See the example screenshot. What I mean is that there is a horizontal scroller displayed (see bottom of the screenshot), in order to be able to scroll the virtual composite, although the width of the inner layout could be reduced as well. See https://git.eclipse.org/r/#/c/11299/ for a possible fix (In reply to comment #3) I don't quite understand what problem you are trying to solve. Please provide screenshots of the same page(s) before and after the change. Created attachment 228674 [details]
Screenshot Before change
This is the Property Page Settings preference pane currently. Note that it has scrollbars, and extends all the way to the end of the text line below it ("//selection event on not-initialized tab items").

Screenshot After change
This is the same preference pane, after the change. Note that it has no scrollbars (and everything in it is visible), even though it only extends up to "//selection event on" in the text below it.
That's the sort of fix that this bug is intended to address, as I understand it. Sebastian, please correct me if I didn't get it right.
Yes, something like this. Thanks, very nice service ;) I did not check the prefs but the project properties, where it happens nearly everywhere. It may apply to the prefs pages as well and the patch may not fix all the oddities, but it reduced it somewhat. |
