I was surprised when searching for "Git" on the Eclipse Marketplace that I couldn't find anything on EGit. We should have some strategy in place to reuse the metadata from projects or have some flag that projects can set to be published. At the moment, I manually created an entry for EGit on the Eclipse Marketplace so it appears.
