1.
In the text editor, if I set "Show whitespace characters", tabs, spaces and hide-lineseparators will be shown.
But showing the hide-lineseparators is not helpful for me, because I know there must be one and only one hide-lineseparator at the end of every line. And the hide-lineseparators are so ugly.
However, maybe it is helpful for someone. So I wish I can configure that hide or show the two kind of whitespaces respectively.

[checkbox]Show tabs and spaces;
[checkbox]Show line separators;

2.
I would like to set the transparency of the whitespace charactors, because they seems so dark that I can not read my code easily.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:

Different platforms have different line separators, hence their visualization is useful.

But I agree with the request - the visuals can be made a bit lighter, and showing the line separator serves no purpose for me at most times.
