Bug 316613

Summary: ssh push and pull access to git.eclipse repositories blocked
Product: Community Reporter: Steve Powell <zteve.powell>
Component: GitAssignee: Eclipse Webmaster <webmaster>
Status: CLOSED FIXED QA Contact:
Severity: blocker
Priority: P3
Version: unspecified
Target Milestone: ---
Hardware: PC
OS: Mac OS X - Carbon (unsup.)
Whiteboard:

Description Steve Powell CLA 2010-06-11 09:58:17 EDT
I get the following:
ssh: connect to host git.eclipse.org port 22: Operation timed out
fatal: The remote end hung up unexpectedly
when trying to pull from git.eclipse.org.

This is using (for example):
 	ssh://spowell@git.eclipse.org/gitroot/virgo/org.eclipse.virgo.kernel.git
for both fetch and push.

This implies that ssh is broken. Please expedite.

A note to webmaster@eclipse.org this morning (6hrs ago) elicited no response.

If you can send your IP(http://whatsmyip.org) I'll go digging in the firewall.

89.21.231.34 is what What's my IP's response. I assume that's the same mapped IP I'd get from the command line?

I've found and cleared the block.

If your machine is directly connected to the internet, then your local IP might be the same as the one our servers see, but using a service like whatsmyip.org will tell me what IP I should be looking for regardless of your local network layout.
