Description Elias Volanakis CLA 2010-06-10 20:15:20 EDT
I'm trying to log in at this url:

https://dev.eclipse.org/site_login/?takemeback=http://www.eclipse.org/forums/index.php?t=login

Even with the correct id / pwd I'm taken back to this page perpetually. Id is valid since I use it to file this bug ;-).

Seen on: Vista with Chrome.

This works for me now. Must have been temporary.

I'll reopen this, since it's a recurring problem.

I think the problem lies with the redirect-after-post. Although it is implemented according to spec, it seems to be brittle under specific conditions.

The "Welcome back/Continue" page should be fed from the login POST, instead of sending the user to the welcomeback.php page.

I removed the redirect after POST and cleaned up the takemebacks. The redirect was http while the POST was https, so that could have accounted for some oddities we'd seen reported.
