The quick peek that takes a IVirtualComponent has caching support that dramatically improves performance for subsequent lookups.  However, the quick peek that takes an IPath has no caching.  It should have caching support and the cache should be shared between both API.

The quickpeek API I was referring to in the above comment is located in JavaEEBinaryComponentHelper.
