- 3.6RC4 candidate build, observed on win32 and gtk
- is somewhat timing-dependent, but not difficult to reproduce

- Help > Check for Updates
- in the subsequent progress dialog press the Details button, then the Cancel button
- it continues doing something for a few seconds, then the following is written to the error log
