We could have quick fixes for changing the severity of our problems.  Each individual validation error would have to implement a quick fix to change it's severity to error/warning/info/ignore and make it clear that it is being changed for the whole project, not just this particular error.

I think this makes sense in our case only because there are so many validation errors that it could be challenging for a user to change the right one in the preferences.  Given that a lot more validation is coming, this change seems reasonable.
