When the Papyrus wizard for the creation of an .di/.notation from an existing
.uml file is used, the latter is re-created as an empty model, i.e. the
contents of the existing .uml file is lost!

The wizard uses ModelSet#createsModels(IFile newFile) method in order to create .di, .notation and .uml files. However, there are situations (as described above), when only some of the model are needed to be created. Support this functionality.

This works as expected in the current version. I close this task.
