The only option for displaying classifier compartments seem to be "name compartment only" and "show all compartments". However, I would like to do this selectively, so that some classes may only show some compartments, on a class-by-class basis. For some, in addition to the name compartment, I may want to show only attributes, others only attributes and operations, etc. Furthermore, I want to have the choice in the preference dialog for class diagrams to give me a default set of visible compartments, which I can then override on an individual basis.

Perhaps this capability already exists, but it is not obvious how to do it from using the tool.

The developments done for the bugs bug 319223 allow to resolve this problem :
Now we have preferences to choose the compartments to display at the creation and we have an action to select the compartments to show/hide after the element creation.
