Investigated Eclipse Version: 3.6.0 Build id: I20100608-0911 and found the images are present and appear in the linked page in the org.eclipse.cdt.doc.isv manual.

The file indexer_preference_page.png is also present and appears in the pages mentioned and the link to Project Explorer also works in the org.eclipse.cdt.doc.user manual.
