Description
Ed Willink
Currently, one can set the category on an Xtext language manually in the corresponding plugin.xml. It would be nice if this category could be given as an argument to the language configuration (to the ImplicitUIFragment?), but the grouping of languages in the preferences is IMHO not function of the underlying technology. We have discussed the issue here #290752 and decided on keeping the pref pages on top level per default. The rational is that 1) IT is not a matter of the underlying technology how much top level an editor's preferences are. Usually there is one top level entry per language (ex. ANT, Java). 2) The plugin.xml can be customized by hand. Closing bug which were set to RESOLVED before Eclipse Neon.0. |
