Build Identifier: Build id: 20100506-2000

If a model is openend that contains a reference to import model which can not be found (which may indicate an installation problem and/or path problem), there is no feedback to the user (and no error log entry). The user does not see immediately that an import is empty or that model references within the original model are "null".

Might be good to add a warning about missing imports to the error log and combine with warning about failed profile applications (see bug 313880), i.e. show a single information dialog with information about the error that has been occurred and an information that more details can be found in the error log view.

Reproducible: Always

This bug is still valid in 0.10, although the support for missing or optional components has been improved:

Bug 404564: [Resource] Papyrus shall support optional ecore models

It might still be interesting to display an explicit warning for the user.
