No! At the most we should only add this to features. Each IU that collects stats adds an extra round-trip to the server. I was even wondering about starting with only the most common features as a starting point (platform, jdt, pde for example).

There was an enhancement about adding support in the publisher for this.. Andrew probably knows more. From my viewpoint this isn't critical and if we wanted to wait until we had build-level support it would be fine... after all we've never generated stats for our repos in the past.
