<response_by> Gaby Pelleg at 2010.05.14.20.27.09 </response_by>
Build 20100509-1500-nlbidi
Language: Hebrew

Steps:

1) Open the geoshapes.geo file from the Project Explorer
2) Right-click it and select Properties menu item and
3) Make it read only by click the Read-only check box
4) Select a shape in the palette and click on diagram surface.
5) Verify the dialog

Problem:

File name in message is RTL even though I have the variable surrounded by LRMs. I also noticed that the ' characters enclosing the variable in the PII file only enclose the project name part in the actual message. If file name is concatenated separately than of course the LRMs will not work. See attached screen shot.

This also affects 13.000.360.

This appears to be fixed in the latest build when I tested it. Please verify. Thank you!

More detail - the apostrophes are now correct, so something did change, but the ordering of the path elements is still wrong. The project name (Hebrew part) should be on the left, like this:

/?????/geoshapes.geo

Since the message box itself is RTL, the only way to do this is with RLE + PDF. I can insert the control characters in the file. Any reason why this shouldn't work in Eclipse?

Gaby,

You are correct. After some more testing I realized that this re-ordering of the string only occurs if there are Hebrew (RTL) characters in the project name or the filename. If the project name and filename only contain LTR characters, the dialog is displayed correctly, so this is not fixed.

Thank you!

OK, we agree this is not fixed. What about my suggestion of fixing in PII? RLE + PDF cannot be inserted in TM. I'd like to know before I attempt a manual fix. Thanks.

Hi Gaby, There is no plan to fix this string in current release. If necessary, please go ahead to fix it manually in your file. Thanks
Kathy
