Build Identifier: 20100218-1602

Tried to install the new 1.6.6 connector (polarion) for subversion.

After installing the new connector I cannot select any connector under

Preferences->Team->SVN : SVN-Connector tab.

Actually, upon restart Subversive opens a Window to select a Connector, where I can select version 1.6.3 (no mention of 1.6.6)

Cheers,
Arndt

PS: Actually I run 64-bit Win7 with a 32-bit JVM

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Start update (suggests to update polarion SVN-connector to 1.6.6)
2. Restart Eclipse
3. -> No connector selectible
4. deinstall all connectors
5. goto 1. ;)

What Subversive version do you have?

1.6.x - though, does this matter? At the point of installation it should be unknown to which svn-server I will be connecting...

I meant version of Subversive itself but not SVN version, you can see it in Help/About Eclipse/Installation Details then switch to Features tab and find org.eclipse.team.svn feature id. For instance, I have 0.7.9.I20100512-1900 version.

* Subversive SVN Connectors 2.2.2.I20100512-1900 org.polarion.eclipse.team.svn.connector.feature.group
* Subversive SVN Team Provider (Incubation) 0.7.8.I20091023-1300 org.eclipse.team.svn.feature.group
* SVNKit 1.3.0 Implementation (Optional) 2.2.1.I20091009-1900 org.polarion.eclipse.team.svn.connector.svnkit16.feature.group
* JavaHL 1.6.0 Win32 Binaries (Optional) 2.2.1.I20091009-1900 org.polarion.eclipse.team.svn.connector.javahl16.win32.feature.group
* Native JavaHL 1.6 Implementation (Optional) 2.2.2.I20100512-1900 org.polarion.eclipse.team.svn.connector.javahl16.feature.group

Is all I (currently - so it works) have installed.

Had to remove the 1.6.6 stuff in order to be able to work...

Cheers, Arndt

PS: The Eclipse-Update suggests to install (which then does not work):

* JavaHL 1.6.6 Win32 Binaries (Optional)	2.2.2.I20100512-1900
* SVNKit 1.3.2 Implementation (Optional)	2.2.2.I20100512-1900

You have not latest Subversive SVN Team Provider version - 0.7.8.I20091023-1300, the latest version is 0.7.9.I20100512-1900. So at first you need to update Subversive itself, here's a link to update site: http://download.eclipse.org/technology/subversive/0.7/update-site/ . After updating Subversive, you can update SVN Connectors, connectors latest version is 2.2.2.I20100512-1900

Thank you, I will try.

Though, I wonder why Eclipse only tells me that I can/should update the connectors and not the Team Provider. Hence, something must be wrong with the dependencies...
