Build Identifier: 1.1.2.v20090612-r4475

Bug #311023 has now been fixed on 2.1. However, the customer is reluctant to do an upgrade to the new major version, as the fix is needed to fix a production issue.

This is a request to backport the solution that fixed Bug #311023 to the 1.1.x branch. See the other bug for details.

I am targetting this for 1.1.4 so that it will show up in our 1.1.4 bug queries.  I am making it a P4 because at this time we cannot commit to fixing it for 1.1.4.
