Description Peter Nehrer CLA 2010-05-10 21:09:06 EDT
Feature org.eclipse.jetty.slf4jlogback (Logging with SLF4J and Logback) contributed to Eclipse Target Platform Components is awesomely useful but... it doesn't seem to include the source bundles, which exist in Orbit. I think it would be very useful to always have source bundles included in the target platform.

Is there any reason they haven't been included? Would it be difficult to include them? Thanks!

Glad you find it useful Peter!

In theory the sources are included as the feature: org.eclipse.jetty.slf4jlogback.source

Please note that the feature currently contributed for RC7 by jetty contains a buggy version of logback; bug #311595 is fixed so RC1 will be fine.

Let me know how you are provisioning your target platform and if this packaging is suitable. I added Gunnar is CC in case he has some plans to package a more generically named feature of logback and slf4j.

Got it, didn't notice the source feature as it is not categorized. In any case, this is sufficient. Feel free to close as INVALID/WONTFIX. Thanks.

There are some discussions at orbit to publish a couple of feature and categorize them.
For us at jetty when you install the jetty.sdk feature the logback and logback.source features are included.
