Bug 312262

Summary: Back button in install wizard clears selected packages if request cannot be completed

Description Ulli Hafner CLA 2010-05-10 10:15:30 EDT
Steps to reproduce:
1. Open the "Install New Software" wizard
2. Select several packages to install
3. Press next in the wizard
4. p2 checks if the request can be fulfilled
5. If the request cannot be fulfilled then p2 prints an error message
6. Select previous in the wizard
7. The selection of the packages is cleared

This is very annoying if you select a lot of packages and p2 reports that it can't process your request due to some missing requirements. The you need to start over from the beginning instead of adding just the missing dependencies or removing some conflicts.

(If in step 5 everything could be installed, then the back button works correctly.)
